I just spent 10 days in Akademie Schloss Solitude near Stuttgart, Germany. It's been operating for almost 20 years already, and is one of the most successful multi-disciplinary residency programmes in Europe.

This time my days went mostly to writing emails and updating the Pixelache website ;)... But below you can what can be a result of a 8 month stay ('Zyklop' installation by Nadja Schöllhammer, photos by Eric Tschernow).

Akademie Solitude has a great staff to support the realization of new projects and an extensive international contact network. Unfortunately the application round just passed a while ago and you will have to wait almost two years for the next one...
